The Historic Beacon Beachfront Bed & Breakfast has been a Ft. Myers Beach landmark since the 1940's.
The Beacon combines "old Florida" cottage style charm with a modern flare. Each of our 15 rooms are
newly decorated and furnished and offer many amenities. All rooms include new appliances, refrigerators, microwave ovens, toasters, coffee makers and
complimentary coffee. Other rooms are equipped with full kitchens that have stoves, ovens and full-size refrigerators. All units have new heating and
air conditioning systems for your comfort. Many units offer breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico.
Stays include breakfast at the scenic beachfront Gulfshore Grille restaurant, where spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico, sandy beaches and the renowned
Fort Myers Beach Fishing Pier are all within your sight as you sip coffee and enjoy breakfast.
The Beacon offers 150 feet of private direct Gulf beach front for sunbathing, watersports and swimming. A beach
vendor is on site renting beach chairs and umbrellas daily, along with jetskis, waverunners, sailboats and parasailing trips.
For those times when you need to attend to work, our business center provides a quiet area to use your laptop, email, fax, or make phone calls. Feel free
to access our wireless Highspeed Internet Service as well.
When the Florida sun makes you long for refreshment, our Hawaiian Ice Snack Shop will hit the spot! Try some different flavors, or enjoy an ice cream. Light
fare is on the menu as well, including hot dogs, pulled prok and nachos.
The Beacon is within a short walking distance to Times Square and Old San Carlos Boulevard with its pedestrian walkways, many
shops, restaurants and bars. It is also a short walk to the Fort Myers Beach Fishing Pier, and is conveniently located on the
trolley route in the heart of the "downtown district" .
Fort Myers Beach is well-known for its white sugary-sand beaches, daily dolphin sightings, fishing, and boating. Did we mention seashell hunting
and its safe swimming?
